Over time, the emotional burden became just as painful as the physical condition itself. No one deserves to live isolated, ashamed, or afraid because of a medical condition.

Determined to bring hope and relief to Eusebio’s life, a partnership was formed between the Nilza Varela Foundation and Ze Luis Solidario. From the beginning, it was clear that Eusebio needed more than medical treatment alone. He needed compassion. He needed dignity. He needed a renewed opportunity to rebuild his life. Together, we created a plan not only to address his health challenges but also to improve the difficult living conditions he faced on Santo Antão.
